Last year Madeline and Camilla took tumbling. They liked it, but got mad that I took the other girls to the park while they were at tumbling. We decided this year to have "park days" rather than take tumbling (fun, plus free!). So, for our first park day we went to a park on Main--not sure of the name, but "Skater Park" or "Drug Park" would probably be appropriate. Anyhow, we don't go there often, so they really wanted to.
I picked them up from school, we drove straight there, got out, headed for the toys, and Natalia took a tumble on these steps first thing. After dabbing the bleeding forehead with a tissue, I noticed I could see tissue of another type under the skin and decided we had to pack back up and go to the doctor!
Luckily I trust Madeline to babysit, so I dropped her and the other 3 off at home and took Natalia in to the doc's. She laid perfectly still while they numbed her head--the nurse and doctor were completely amazed. However, when the stitches started, so did the crying and tears. She was good and still held still, but definitely let them know she was not enjoying it in the least!
After the stitches, she still wanted to go back to the park, so we returned.
