Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve has always been one of my favorites! We always had big family parties, with programs, Nativities, and lots of treats. We no longer travel on Christmas, so we are lucky the Searles and Grandpa will party with us!

Daddy and Aunt Marilyn

Grandpa with his frankincense.

Uncle Kent

Kristal and Jordan

Mary, the mother mild.

Only one of the three kings made it tonight.

The angel also graced us with her presence.

Joseph had a really hard time letting Mary hold the baby, so we had to get two babies.

The whole group. Very inspiring, aren't they?

We left Santa an assortment of cookies, plus some carrots for the reindeer. They really appreciated our thoughtfulness.

Madeline and Camilla also played us some lovely piano songs and Eliza sang "Row, row, row your boat," (One of the more traditional carols) but I think it would take my whole afternoon to load the videos, so you'll have to use your imagination.

  1. So cute, and I think the Yearsley home is the only place that Rudolph got home-grown-just-dug-'em-up-from-the-backyard-under-the-tarp-mammoth-sized-carrots!

Love the Nativity--Natalia makes a dashing Joseph!

  2. Lucky reindeer! And lucky Searles, & lucky Great Grandpa Mitchell to get to be a part of that performance :)
