February Catch-Up

I honestly don't know how you blog-people manage to keep yourselves so updated. I just struggle finding time for this! That is okay since I told you from the get-go I was only half hearted. Here are a few things we did in February.
Madeline finally lost her first top-tooth. It was loose (very loose) for a good month, but she is not an aggressive tooth wiggler. Luckily one day it got bumped a little by the bathroom door at school and she pulled it out there. Nothing like the glory of losing a tooth at school (and being student of the day at the same time)!!

Each of my children has had a favorite naptime activity. Madeline liked pulling all her clothes out of the drawers, Camilla just played with her toys, Natalia sleeps (thank-you) and Eliza likes to line up books. I am not sure why, but it keeps her happy and she is always pleased to show me what she's done! On the contrary, when she is in her room for time out, she likes to pull all the books off the shelf and throw them. I guess they have a love-hate relationship.

Natalia has just been cute overall. She really likes to suck on her fingers when she has her favorite cloud blanket with her. Lately I've been telling her "No" when she does it, so she is cautious around me. She sometimes will lay in her crib with her fingers waiting by her lips until I leave the room. Then she'll suck away. She has also gotten good at singing along with me before her naps. She can usually sing the last word of every phrase. It is super cute! One of her favorites to sing is "face" in "each saw the tears on His face . . ." (the new primary song they are learning--I think it's I Know that the Savior Loves Me).

Camilla was with me at some JC Penney clearance sales. We were trying to find her a new coat, but they didn't have those. They did, however, have some lovely shiny shoes that she LOVED! She begged and begged me to buy them for her, and though they were only $4, she didn't really need them, and how do you justify buying them for one child when the other three sisters didn't get any? She begged so long I finally told her she could use her money to buy them if she would like--she is very pleased with her purchase! They go nicely with the new ballerina dress from Grandma Kathy.

We have been trying to find a name for our new baby. Madeline wanted to help us out, so she began writing names that she found--in this picture, the list has about 100 names and is as tall as she is. We haven't picked one for sure yet, but some of her ideas are "Sharla, Rubbeka, Jooly, Ashley, Virgeinya, and Monyqu."
Eliza likes "Ballerina and Princess"
Camilla likes "Brielle and Noel"
Natalia hasn't yet cast a vote. Neither have her parents. Do any of these inspire you?

  1. FINALLY!!!!!! I've been waiting and WAITING for a new post! Your kids are practically grown up....I'm going to have to help you with prioritizing your time. I NEED this blog from you, don't you understand?!

Such cute, cute pictures! Love the new smile Madeline is sporting! I'm still laughing so hard at the names she picked out!! Jooly! Rubbeka! Oh, seriously, those are so funny! I'm also glad she's got the socks and sandals look going strong. so stinkin' cute!

Go, Camilla---you want those new shoes, you should HAVE those new shoes. Very nicely done.

I can't believe Eliza lines up books---I'm pretty sure that's a sign of serious intelligence.

And when did Natalia get so much hair? And talking? Oh, man, it's been too long, my dear.

    Love ya.

  2. Lindy! Your girls are so cute! Eliza has inspired Baylee. . . I was looking at your blog the other day with Baylee and yesterday she lined up all of her library books in the middle of our living room. I'm pretty sure she never would have thought to do that with out Eliza!
