So, since she was going to do the hard part, I volunteered to watch a couple of kids for a week. Maria and Isaac stayed with us and entertained us with lots of activities.
First of all, we colored.
We made super cute mini wind socks. Might want to take a close up of this one so you can see them better. They really are adorable!
Then we colored (more). My $6 investment for 6 coloring books was well spent. They all liked to color, but Isaac and Eliza colored sitting on the hide-a-bed, the table, in their secret fort, the guest room, the laundry room, the floor, etc. Pretty cheap and easy entertainment!
Tumble bunnies--a cute Family Fun idea. These bunnies tumble end over end down a sloped couch cushion, etc. They were fun.
Aunt Sarah sent Cheetos which were a highlight of the week, and we dyed Easter eggs. Some may have gotten orange Cheeto smudges on them. . .
We also made these cute "tuffets" from the Family Fun magazine (I think we used more Family Fun ideas this week than we ever have at one time!). They are very festive!
These guys were sooooo excited to eat their bunny buns. I made them wait until after McDonald's to eat them, and it was like torture!
Madeline, Maria, and Camilla did a play of the resurrection for us--these are the two guards on the tomb. Clever, eh!
We had a great week with the Granata chillens. We would consider keeping them, but Sarah insists she misses them! They are two smart, great, fabulous, wonderful, delightful children and we thoroughly enjoyed our week with them!

Some fun tidbits:
- Maria did Isaac's hair every day.
- Maria practiced the piano almost everyday.
- Isaac and Maria both participated in scripture study.
- Isaac was an angel in sacrament meeting.
- Isaac loves Tom and Jerry and spoonfuls of jam and yogurt and apples.
- Isaac is a boy. We don't have a young boy in our family and learned some things from him. He does lots of karate chop, attacking moves that we have not experienced from our girls.
- They both went to bed very willingly and slept well all night every night.
- We will miss Isaac and Maria!
Stop, stop, stop!!! They have seriously not stopped talking about how much fun they had with you! THANK YOU!!!!!!! I made mac and cheese today for lunch. Isaac took a couple of bites, pushed the bowl away and said,
ReplyDelete"Man, Aunt Lindy's macaroni and cheese is SOOOOO good. She uses the BEST noodles."
I can't even compete, my dear. They love you!
