Here we have those nicely un-ordered pictures. Maybe that's why my blog is so half-hearted. I hate it when I think I have it all planned out, then blogger messes it all up. Whatever. Since we have 3 birthdays in two weeks we decided to have pie for Anna's birthday, but we still made her a cake to dig into--that's a fun 1st birthday tradition! This is after she got into eating it. 
I thought this was a cute spontaneous picture so I popped it in for you. You can see Anna's obvious love for her mother dear as well as Eliza's desire to be included in all things. 
Here again we have Eliza showing Anna just how her presents work. Since Anna doesn't walk yet, she can't really use a wheelbarrow anyhow. 
Anna was pretty timid about digging into her cake. Such things have never been allowed before. We finally had to cut a piece and put it on her tray so she would eat it.
Great-Grandpa Mitchell is so good to always come to the girls' parties. . . accompanied by his $2 bills! We are so lucky to have him close to us! As much as Eliza wanted her picture taken before, she obviously does NOT want it now.

Or now. Neither does Anna for that matter.
Yep, she's one.
