Two New Sisters

We'll be adding a new sister to the family soon, but we've been so excited about it, we decided we couldn't wait any longer and added two more sisters to hold us over until the next one gets here.

Actually, our fifth cat, Thunder, just left us (we suppose he's gone off to heaven, though we haven't found evidence of that).  He is the fourth cat to live at our home less than a year.  The one we still have, Buttercup, is actually a cat that belonged to our neighbors and moved to our house one summer.  Since the other four that left were all male, we decided to try our luck with a female.  Give us a year, and we'll see if they are still around!

Anna really loves to put the kitty's food in their water, in their bed, in their face, where ever they are!  She also likes to dig in the litter box and put litter in the cat's water.  Oh so gross!

Looks like a new mama holding twin babies, doesn't she?!

This is Eliza holding "Mittens."  This is a good photo to show her little mittens for which she was named.  She's a very cute tiger striped cat.

Natalia wasn't sure what to do when the kitten started wiggling and clawing, so she just let go--the cat dug in and climbed down.

Madeline named this one "Puffball."  It's kind of hard to tell in the pictures, but she is very comically puffy.  It is cute.

Another picture of puffy Puffball's face.
The cats are cute and fun and should keep us busy until our REAL sister gets here!

  1. I will not show these pictures to my children. There will be too many envious tears, and "that's not fair" comments!

Those are seriously cute, cute kittens! I still think it's hilarious that you can't seem to keep any cats but the neighbor's at your house!
