Piano Recital and Last Day of School

Madeline, Camilla, Eliza, and I had a piano recital a few weeks ago.  Here I am with my sweet performers and Natalia and half of Anna as well.  The pictures we took at the recital turned out to be a bit fuzzy, so I won't post them.

I can assure you I was the only pianist who was pregnant and over 30--okay, the only one over 18.  That's what you get when you drop out of piano at a young age, I guess.  The girls each had to announce their name, piano piece, and composer.  Eliza walked up very hesitantly and I wasn't sure she was actually going to do it, but she did!  They were all nervous, but cute and played very well!

We made a happy last day of school sign to celebrate the end of the year.  The M&M man kindly held it up for us.
He stayed outside at the curb most of the day, but it got windy in the evening, so I brought him in lest he be blown over and crack.  That would be tragic.  If you had one of these, would you ever want it ruined?  He was outside still to greet these ladies after school, but the picture didn't get taken until he was back inside.

A cute "hair-bow" style which is apparently from Lady Gaga, but I learned about it from my Aunt Marilyn.  Each of the girls (except Anna) had one, but Madeline's picture turned out the best.  Cute, huh?  Actually quite easy as well.

  1. I heard you were all amazing tickling the ivories. I'm so impressed that you've taken lessons so long. Can't believe that even Eliza played at the recital--so, so cute!!

That hair bow is amazing--never done that one. Teach me when I come! Funny that it's from Lady Gaga!
