Farewell Grandma and Grandpa Yearsley

We spent a fun day in Chubbuck with the Pages and Merrills (Kevin's sisters) before going to Rigby for his parents' mission farewell.  Pages have been raising chickens this summer and Natalia and Ben spent a lot of time feeding them grapes.

I realize that my blog has been severely, severely neglected since Mari was born.  The poor dear is two months old now and I think I've only done one post.  What can I say?  I've been taking care of six little girls, a husband, my self (sort of), a house, and an acre of land.  At least I haven't neglected them as severely!

We had a little hike with the Merrills and Pages as well.  Aunt Chari was awesome to take care of Anna--not only on the hike, but the whole weekend as well.  My girls love her!  So do I.

Chari took us to a fun place called Brooklyn's Playground which has these awesome spinning teacups--they were really fun!  I want one in my yard!  (But not for me to ride, I'd lose my lunch.)

Kayleece is from Arizona, so we haven't seen her for a while.  She was  a super little mommy to Mari and baby Austin.  She could hold a baby all day long and all night long, too I think.

MOST of the Yearsley clan was here for the farewell.  We were missing a few, but it is very rare indeed to have absolutely everyone all together.  The last time we had a picture close to this was five years ago, I believe.

We are going to miss these two fantastic grandparents.  We love going to visit them and will miss doing so for a year and a half.  We are grateful, however, for the fabulous example they are to us and our children.  We are also grateful they get to serve in Rochester New York.  We are planning to go visit them in a year.  It wouldn't be as exciting to go visit if they were going on a mission to Montana.  (No offense to anyone who lives there.)

One cute little updated picture of sweet baby Mari and her other mother, Eliza.  Eliza seems to ask to hold her more than any other sister, and she holds her longer before getting bored.  I can't say that I am totally confident in her (Mari's) safety, but no harm is ever intended!

  1. Bittersweet to see them go, I'm sure. You have awesome in-laws, Lind. They're worth a visit in NY.

Cute picture of Mari and Eliza! I didn't know they were so partial to each other. Sweet.
