We spent a few days of our spring break in Utah at Grandma & Grandpa's house. Grandma had a box of dress up shoes for the girls to try out. It was fun for all of them, but especially Mari. Don't know about your kids, but mine have always loved to eat shoes. We don't often have NEW shoes laying around, so I don't normally let the poor babies chew on them, but I let Mari have at it!
Cinderella. . .
Cinderella. . .

And Cinderella. Not a wicked step sister in the bunch!
Yes, I realize shoes still are probably not the most sanitary thing to chew on, even if they are new, but really, are any of the toys at my house very sanitary? She didn't seem to contract any awful sicknesses from these!
We got to meet this cute new baby Nixon on our visit! We had all been dying to see him. He fulfilled all our hopes and dreams. He's the closest thing these ladies have to a little brother. Unless you count our cat. And I don't consider the cat a child of mine, but I'd take this little guy any day!
Clara and Ben let us share their birthday cake with them. Anna taught Ben about licking the frosting off the bottom of the candle. He doesn't have older siblings to teach him such habits.
Aunt Brittney even let Anna hold Nixon. Or someone let her hold him. It may not have been Brittney. She may have thought it too risky, but somehow Anna got him anyway!
Madeline was in "Clara heaven!"
We took a fun little trip to Cabela's with all these little mooses. I mean meeses. I mean moose. We're going to be stuffed and mounted at Cabela's when we die.
So if there is a child that Kevin or I least like to be in charge of at the store, it's our Anna dear. She is the runaway, get into stuff, cause a little excitement type of girl. Dear, sweet Megan took her and pushed her around nearly the whole time we were there!
Each of the girls got to help plan and cook a meal during our spring break week. I failed to take pictures of them all, but here is Eliza with her spaghetti, french bread, beans, and mixed berry soda. It was lovely.
Cute "wee-wobblers" from the Family Fun magazine.
Eliza just decorated a blob of play doh instead of doing a wee wobbler. Still cute.
Little bit of hurling from these two to add interest to the week's celebrations.
Cute lineup of the new Easter shirts.
Madeline read in Family Fun about the Easter Bunny leaving a family's treats all over the house, but the baskets empty. She thought that sounded really fun, and hoped Mr. Bunny would do that for us. He did.
Madeline made a delicious Easter brunch--fruit salad peep nests, sausage, scrambled eggs, and berry bite muffins.
Here we are in our Easter finery. Very fine, no?
That is a fine Easter posting! Thanks for putting it up!
ReplyDeleteHooray for a new post!! You don't know how I live for these. I can't believe how grown up Eliza looks with her front teeth! Love, love the Yearsleys.
ReplyDeleteAnd your writing is so witty. You're wonderful!
