Little Yearsley Number Seven!

I wanted to do something fun to tell the girls we were having another baby.  When we were expecting Mari, I really wanted to find little plastic babies, but couldn't find them anywhere and used little pacifiers instead.  This time I searched high and low and finally found some little babies on-line. 

I made mini chocolate cream pies and stuck the babies inside each of the girls' pies  They ate for a while before Camilla said "Hey!  There's a baby in my pie!"  Soon they all began to dig in their pies and also found babies.  This was a week or so after Thanksgiving, and we'd just finished putting up our Christmas tree and decorations, so Christmas was on their minds.  "It's baby Jesus!" they said.  It took some prodding for us to help them figure out why Mom would put a baby in their pie.

I think Madeline figured it out first, but Mari is obviously not too excited to loose her spot as the baby!  It just leaves a bad taste in her mouth!  

Our new baby is set to arrive on July 3, though we expect it later than that because of our track record!  Since we already have 4 out of 8 people in our family with a June birthday, we do not actually hope it comes early this time!

A fun side note, when we told the girls, our baby was actually about the size of these little babies!  Our ultrasound is scheduled for the end of January, just about 2 1/2 weeks away now.  We are pretty much expecting another darling daughter and would be completely shocked if it turned out to be a boy!  We'd need advice on what to do with one of those!
