Though I do enjoy a nice rich chocolate cake with either chocolate or coconut pecan frosting, I generally would prefer a different dessert over regular cake, so I was happy to encourage her along the cheesecake path!
Eliza and Natalia were thrilled that Anna let them help make her cake!
So much sisterly love for the birthday girl. I love the extra kindness they show to the birthday child! I, of course, would love to see that extra kindness each day, but once per year per kid is a good start.
Although her first request for her birthday breakfast was brown rice (we have that for breakfast pretty regularly), her sisters talked her into choosing pancakes.
See that look of delight? She just had her first glimpse of her very own Tonka dump truck!
My brothers had one just like this. I recall that the driver's window was broken. Still a nice steel construction on the bed of the truck, though the wheels seem to definitely be a lesser quality.
We are so ready for a little brother!
A Tonka truck and a sweet daisy dress!
The truck effectively carried her new socks and underwear as well as her dolls and toys all day!
Though she was pleased with the four strawberries I put on, she was upset that there wasn't one in the VERY center! Oh well. The others were already sliced for the topping, so she dealt with it okay!
She'll huff and she'll puff . . .
Though we didn't have traditional cake, we still had ice cream! That is one dessert I'd take any day!
Just in case you were wondering, our family is large enough that we can finish off a carton of ice cream with one round of ice cream cones. We'll all have to give up part of a scoop when the baby is old enough to eat ice cream!
Unlike many four year olds, Anna could join the circus as a bearded lady! But we hope she doesn't.
We love our spunky Anna Cream Pie!
Umm, brown rice for birthday breakfast?? What a gal. One carton of ice-cream only makes cones for the kids and me--Gabe gets left out of the party unless I buy a separate one! Happy birthday sweet Anna Banana!
