They talked about sending me home, but I wasn't having any of that! I told them we just needed a little pitocin. The doctor (my doctor was out of town, so it was a different one) said he would start pitocin at 6 am. Better than nothing. And, I can't blame him for not wanting to force things in the middle of the night!
After the pitocin, I got my epidural at 7:30 and the doctor broke my water. I was good and numb so I was surprised when the nurse checked me at about 9:25 and he was ready to come. After pushing through about four contractions, he was here!
His sweet little cheeks were really bruised and were bluish for a few days.
He was born at 9:36--right in the middle of sacrament meeting. Kevin texted my mom who requested a picture right away, so it was really fun for all of his sisters to see that so quickly. But of course they turned their attention back to the meeting right away.
Mari was a little unsure about the whole thing for a little while. She's getting used to it now!
Kind of hard to tell, but his ears are all squished up still. They didn't have enough room to grow normally!
Snapped a cute tootsie picture before the PKU and blood sugar tests marked up his feet.
It is so fun to have this sweet little boy in our family. Definitely different, but we are all thrilled with our "favorite brother" as Camilla calls him!
