So shortly after I finished my "everyone's been sick" blog last night, Eliza came in telling me her neck hurt, her back hurt, her legs hurt, her throat hurt, etc. She also has a fever. She finished her antibiotic Sunday. How can she possibly be sick again already???? Is there something wrong with this child?
A few funny things--she and Camilla kept waking up coughing (barking is a better word) last night. She had a dream there was fire in the house. It's a recurrent nightmare for my children. Two other times she woke up crying because she wanted to sit in Madeline's seat. When Madeline is at school, she gets to ride in her booster seat in the car. Apparently someone in her dream wouldn't let her.
Camilla woke up afraid of the wicked witch. (We recently watched the Wizard of Oz. Eliza loves the wicked witch. I guess Camilla doesn't). I had to tell her several times it wasn't real and she wasn't coming.
We finally made it through the night, but now we have to go back to the doctor again. I think it would be easier if we just moved in!
On a positive note, we had a lovely snowfall today, so we had real snow "snow cones" since they have sore throats and don't want anything else. They have also eaten some of the Popsicles from last summer--good thing sugar is good even if it's freezer burned! We have a beautiful snowy scene to enjoy anyhow!
By the way, I haven't been complaining about my kids being sick all the time, I just can't believe how often they have been sick, so I thought it worth posting!
Well. All these posts in a short period of time. I'm very impressed. Keep up the half hearted work. As for your sick younglings, all I can say is you're probably just a bad mom. I'll bet you secretly inject them with germs just for fun. I'll bet you LIKE being up all night long with barking coughs. That's the kind we have right now, too. It's so soothing to listen to your children bark all night long. I must be a bad mom, too.
ReplyDeleteOnce you've seen Wicked, Wizard of Oz isn't as scary as it used to be.
