Cookies, Potatoes, and Diapers

I was quickly making cookies a few mornings ago (for a mother-daughter activity that night; I'm not normally in the habit of making cookies before breakfast) and ran downstairs to refill my container of flour. I came back up to find Natalia on the counter with the lid off the Bosch snacking on the dough. She gave a little wave to act nonchalant and it worked--she got her picture taken instead of a scolding!

I opened the garage door and Eliza gave me a guilty look and said "They just rolled out." Imagine that! Potatoes just rolling out in such a nice, straight line! Once she found out I wasn't mad, she told me she was making a flower.

I told Eliza to open Natalia's door after her nap. They didn't come out for a while, so I eventually went to ask them if they wanted a snack. Eliza said "No, we already have the food set out for the picnic." No, the menu wasn't diapers, it was waffles and sandwiches. She has always been such a liner-upper (that's a word, right?). I love her imagination!
