39 weeks, 6 days, 16 hours, and still going strong!
(That's what my title says. Why does my blog icon thing cover it up? I can't make it move!)

Most (3 out of 4) of my babies have been late--some even have to get forced out. I was hoping that since number 4 was a couple days early this one might be too. Doesn't a person deserve that after five pregnancies? Apparently I don't. However, to look on the bright side, here are some fun things about being pregnant!
One day at the temple, the lady assigning people to a dressing room looked at me, down at my stomach, and said "You'd be a great candidate for this room!" and put me in the large handicap dressing room. How nice!
As I was getting out of the car one day to pick Madeline up from school some random lady smiled at me and said "Oh! You look so cute!"
My girls love to pat, hug, talk to, kiss, say goodnight to the baby. Madeline has had patience enough to keep her hand on my tummy and feel the baby quite a bit. Camilla has a few times, but the others don't want to be still that long! They are all sooo excited to have her coming soon.
Eliza and Natalia don't want to hang around and feel her move, but they love to play with her car seat, bouncy chair, and baby toys! Maybe she'll like them, too, but if she's not quite convinced, they can tell her of their (the toys) wonderful qualities.
I have loved and craved ice with this pregnancy (actually, with all of them). I found out with my last pregnancy that this is actually normal. It even has a name--pica syndrome. I only eat ice, but I also loooove the smell of dirt (or sand, especially wet), laundry soap, and the air conditioner in the car. Kevin says it's a sign of a vitamin deficiency, but I think I'm okay.
We had a snow cone maker that the girls earned last year. I used it so much I wore it out. I still had three weeks of pregnancy left, but for some reason no one is selling snow cone makers yet, so I've had to settle for crushed ice in the blender. It's good, too, but so watery I can't eat it much before bedtime or I'm up too often!
Ice and sweets make this baby dance all around. Hopefully I don't give her any negative effect from all that I've eaten!
All right, baby. Despite all these "fun" pregnancy features, I am still ready for you to be here. We can't wait to meet you!
can you say "pop"?
ReplyDeleteI still think you're the cutest pregnant girl ever!
ReplyDeleteI'll hope that you're stomach doesn't explode (cause it looks like it might). And I'll hope that she decides to come tonight.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! My mom loved the flowers your girls left her. She also loved them picking up grass. I get the news, too. Love ya!
