Bottle Baby

This picture has nothing to do with a bottle, but it's so cute how could I not put it up there?

This doesn't have anything to do with a bottle, either, but Anna is wearing a super cute baby flip-slip from her Grandma Kathy and it also just deserves to be posted.

Okay. Here are the bottle pictures. So, none of my other kids have been great at taking a bottle except Natalia who was pretty good about it, but didn't have to do it on a regular basis. However, now I have five children. Taking a bottle can't really be an option at this point. I decided to do a bottle a day faithfully so hopefully we can have that as a backup plan when I have to be somewhere (or maybe just want to be somewhere!).

If a kid can take a bottle from Eliza--which means drinking from any position, bottle moving frequently, sitting up, laying down, sliding down the pillow, etc., she ought to be able to take it from a responsible adult or babysitter occasionally, right?

I think Kevin has only had one or maybe one and a half turns to feed the baby. Her other mommies claim the privilege the rest of the time!

Madeline does a good job feeding her--Anna appreciates that she gets a fairly reliable arm to support both her and the bottle--neither is jiggled too much!

Camilla is happy as can be when it is her turn. She also does a great job and compliments Anna on her good burps. Very polite.

Natalia hasn't asked for a turn yet. When she sees Anna nursing or drinking her bottle she says "Milk? Yum!"

  1. Madeline all of a sudden looks so grown up! Way more mature than a couple of weeks ago! 5 girls...go Lindy!

  2. What sweet kids! Anna seems to have quickly learned to deal with several mommies each with their own unique style.
