Spring Break (Trip 2)

After camping, we came home, unpacked, did laundry, repacked, and headed for Utah. We stopped at temple square on the way. It happened to be the day before the YW broadcast, so here are all--wait, except Anna--of my young women!

Natalia is playing the part of the Beehive.

We stand for truth and righteousness! Here are the future 9th ward young women--and, hey, at that point, I'd love to be a young women's leader, too!

We got to go on top of the conference center. It was the girls' first trip, so it was pretty cool for them. Our tour guide was a little lengthy (I wanted to be in and out in 20 minutes or so, but it took an hour!), but it was still fun.

Here's a good visual to keep us working toward our eternal goal!

After temple square we went to my mom's for a couple days. This is my Grandma Sue. Because of her encouragement I am very dedicated at reading to my children. She is a great example and always reads to my girls when we visit.

Anna was thrilled to be out of her car seat and have someone paying attention to her. Thanks Grandpa Reese!

We had a family party with two birthday boys! Isaac--cute five year old with the Lego man cake.

And Ben with the cute basketball cake. Seriously, you can hardly tell it tipped over in the car! I can't tell you how much Madeline and Camilla love this little boy!

Awesome Aunt Megan gave each of the girls a treat bag for the ride home. Madeline used the string which tied the bag shut to turn her glow-in-the-dark bracelets into glow-in-the-dark glasses. Kind of hard to tell because the flash made it all light, but it was pretty funny.

And, thanks to the DVD player from Grandma and Grandpa, we had a happy trip home!

  2. This looks like it was a great trip. I forget that some of the places that people travel 1000's of miles to see are only a few hours away. I love the glasses Madeline. I will need to get the info on making that lego cake. :)

  3. Those glasses made me laugh so hard!

I got all teary-eyed seeing you and your girls on temple square, and the family picture in front of the statue of Christ did me in. So sweet. I love you guys!
