Happy Birthday Anna Cream Pie!

When I was growing up we had a tradition of decorating each other's doors for birthdays.  It was a simple thing--a sign and some treats taped up, but it stands out to me as one of my favorite birthday memories.  I have wanted to do it with my kids, too, but hadn't ever gotten around to it.  Until now!

Anna's older sisters were thrilled to be a part of making a special poster for her and she was thrilled (beyond words) to find a few starbursts taped to her door!  Her face could be interpreted as other-than-trilled, but believe me, this is a happy face!

A giant bottle of bubbles--plus the bubble wrap that came around it!

Four of her happy sisters (most of Natalia's head is there!).  They always get busy a few days before a siblings birthday making/putting together some of their special treasures to give away.  Very sweet.

My mom gave all my girls a plate with their picture on it for Christmas a few years ago--before Anna was born.  She always has to use a PLAIN old plate at dinner while they get to eat off their cute little faces.  I requested a plate for Anna this year.  She was soooo excited to get it!  It meant growing up to her!

 Cute new birthday suit.

She was allowed to blow some bubbles in a smaller bubble container, but not allowed to hold the giant one.

Our family now has four birthdays in a span of 18 days, so Anna gets pie for her  birthday until she can request otherwise.

Although the rest of us liked it, she sadly was not thrilled with her pie and ate just a small amount of whipped cream.  Whatever.  Kevin was happy to finish her piece!

Anna has proved to be one of our spunkiest children so far.  She keeps us on our toes with all her tricks and surprises!  We love her to pieces and are so happy she's in our family.

By the way:
  • She likes to wash her hands in the kitchen sink.  It makes a bit mess, so I told her to go wash in the bathroom.  She did.  In the toilet.  Not sure that counts as washing.
  • She loves to help with the laundry.  She also loves to make more dirty laundry.
  •  She loves eating spoonfuls of peanut butter.
  • She does not really love getting her teeth brushed.
  • We love Anna!

I won't scoff at any piece of pie you give me. Promise.
