Choosing a name for our babies has usually been a little tough for us. When we found out we had to come up with a sixth girl name, we figured we'd be stumped for quite a while! However, as fate would have it, I was in the doctor's office one day reading a book my mother gave me for Christmas. I came across the name "Mari" and loved it. Kevin decided he liked it, too, and easy as that we had a name picked out.
Before, even when we had a name pretty sure picked out, we really never referred to the baby by its name until it was on the birth certificate and a done deal. Mari has been different. We've been calling her Baby Mari for quite some time and her sisters are all excited for their new sister, Mari.
They all love to feel her, talk to her, hug her, etc. And she's not totally here yet.
According to the doctor, I am due tomorrow, June 4. According to the ultrasound, I am due June 9. According to me (and I am a smart woman) I am due June 14. No matter what Mari thinks her due date is, she'll be coming when I get induced on June 11, a week from tomorrow. Unless she would like to come earlier, which I highly doubt. I, for one, am counting down the minutes, hours, days, etc. I love being pregnant and feel so blessed to have so many beautiful children. I love to feel them move and grow inside me---BUT--I also love to be NOT pregnant anymore!
Here is the cute car seat cover I made her. I wish I'd made these for my other kids, too. I think it will be handy.
I needed a really lightweight swaddling blanket for this summer. I actually needed one for my other summer babies, too, but didn't ever make one. Now I did.
We are ready for our baby to be born! I can't wait to see her beautiful grayish-purple brand new skin!
Love the carseat cover! You did fabulous, as always. So excited to meet little Mari too!
ReplyDeleteOh, that picture of you with your sweet girls all over you just about made me cry! Look at all those beautiful kids! You are positively glowing in these pictures, Lindy--are you sure you don't want to stay pregnant a little longer?!
ReplyDeleteLove the carseat cover, love the blanket--still got my mouth hanging open thinking about the fact that you are having your sixth baby, AND refinishing tables and making so much handiwork. You probably have a freezer full of casseroles, too! You're amazing!
