Camilla Turns Eight!

Kevin had the day off on Camilla's birthday so I was lucky enough to be able to go help in her classroom that morning.  In the afternoon I picked her up and wanted to make sure all of Dworshak knew what a special girl was riding with me!

The customary decorated door--the balloon on her head is actually taped to the door, it just happens to be a the exact height of her head!

Camilla got "Olivia's Tree House" Lego set to add to our collection.

Her BFF, Kessa, was going to be out of town for the friend party, so we had her over for a playdate ON her birthday.  Can't leave the best friend out of the festivities, can you!  Camilla also received her own set of scriptures which she has put to good use already!

Camilla decorated her doggy cake.  Really, it could pass for a polar bear as well.  Didn't taste like one, though.

The tree house was quite a project!  Camilla, Kessa, and Madeline worked hard on it!

Kessa and Eliza made a project of their own--it's a bunk bed if I remember right.

Some of Camilla's special talents are:

•  Laughing and wrestling with Eliza.  Sometimes I think the two of them make as much noise and ruckus as a pair of brothers!  The other girls get involved sometimes, but usually those two are the instigators!
•  She received a pogo stick for her birthday when she was in kindergarten.  It never had a whole lot of use until this summer.  She is now very good and can jump with one, two, or no hands! 
• She is usually the first to respond with a "yes Mom" when I ask the girls to brush their teeth at night.  Oh, that they would all follow her example!
• She really likes to do crafts--I think it has a de-stressing effect on her.  She is very creative!
