Camilla's Baptism

We've had a lot of "Camilla" posts lately, but since she's such a great girl, I'm sure you won't mind one more!  Camilla was baptized on November 3, 2012.  This is also the birthday of Camilla's Great-Great Grandma Chloey Banner, the anniversary of her Great Grandma and Grandpa Mitchell being sealed in the temple, as well as the day her Great Great Grandpa Clyde Mitchell died (so that one's a little morbid, but still interesting that it is the same day, right?).

With that bit of history, I present the beautiful baptized Camilla!
This lovely dress is on its second of six baptisms--it gets handed down to the next sister every two years!

Camilla doesn't get handed down to anyone.  She stays with us!

I always love the cute jumpsuit pictures--just so sweet!

Camilla is well over half her dad's height now!

I was able to play the piano for the baptismal service. It was a great opportunity for me, a beginning pianist, but it made things a little rushed.  I didn't get a picture with her until after the baptism.

This is the aforementioned Great Grandpa Mitchell on the left (whose anniversary it is, he's the son of Clyde and son in law of Chloey) and Grandpa Reese on the right.  Grandpa Yearsley was there in spirit (he's on a mission right now) and I am sure other great grandpas were watching from the other side as well!

Congratulations Camilla!  As Elder Quentin L. Cook said in his last conference talk, quoting Joseph Smith, “when you joined this Church you enlisted to serve God. When you did that you left the neutral ground, and you never can [go] back.”

We love you and are proud of you!

  1. Camilla is absolutely glowing in these pictures!! Makes me so sad that I wasn't there. Way cool to be baptized on a day so full of history. Love you, Camilla!
