What we have all suspected has been confirmed! The next Yearsley baby will indeed be a girl! We had our ultrasound yesterday. She looks healthy, wealthy and wise! We all put in our guesses--Kevin and I both guessed boy, but the rest of the family guessed girl. When we were having the ultrasound, I saw the signs and knew it was a girl before the technician even told us. Been there, seen that!
Camilla and Madeline were a little disappointed that they would wait clear until after school to find out what the baby was going to be. We decided to send them each a pink balloon so they could find out a little earlier. (Really, it would have killed me to wait until after school as well!)
Of course we knew we couldn't have two girls coming home with balloons and the other girls not have one, so we bought five. One soon popped (before the child even received it), so we ended up buying one more--six for the sixth child!
We celebrated at dinner time by going to Pizza Hut as is customary for us to do after an ultrasound.
As Anna was in the womb at our last post-ultrasound celebration, she enjoyed this trip thoroughly. Especially the cup of rootbeer!
We are now searching for another baby girl name. Suggestions will be welcome! Eliza has suggested Rapunzel and Little Red Riding Hood. Hopefully we come up with a few more options before June!
Pizza Hut employees say "here they come again! must be another baby."
ReplyDeleteCongrats, though. I really thought boy for sure, but I think its just really meant to be that you're the mother of all girls. The world needs good girls. Might I suggest "Karen" or "Elaine" or "Tuft" ?
Well, you haven't used "Sarah" as a first name yet.....
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see this new baby. I still can't believe you're going to have six girls! I love them all!
