Freshen Up for Spring!

Could be a Yearsley gene, could be a Mitchell gene, but either way, ALL of my girls' hair has naturally grown into a mullet. With Madeline, I was not ready to cut her hair, and just let it go. I don't think she had a hair cut until she was 3.
Camilla had at least 3 comments from people (some strangers) about her mullet hair, and I decided I'd better do something about it! Because of her, her younger sisters have all had their hair trimmed before the mullet got too bad.

Cute girl, but scraggly hair!

A small bowl of left-over movie popcorn kept her relatively still while I snipped away. (BTW, we went to see the Lorax, and I was not impressed with it. I don't recommend it! The popcorn was tasty, but since it was from the theater, it was also way overpriced. Luckily it did double duty for us.)

All neat and tidy! I have only curled her hair under a few times--I accidentally burned her ear once, and she's not too keen on letting me get the curling iron very close to her head anymore!

I think her haircut makes her look much more grown up. Definitely not a baby anymore!

  1. Ahh... she looks so cute! I love the hair cut. I think the mulleet might be a Mitchell gene. Ben's hair seems to grow extra well in that back lower part of his head.

  2. She looks SO cute!! Talk about incredible hair--those girls have got some serious golden locks going on. Nice work on the trimming, Miss Hair Stylist!
